The Favorite Songria
From Episode VII: Vayeshev with Dr. Betsy Stone:
We present to you, an amazing technicolor cocktail, The Favorite Songria
In a pitcher, combine 1 orange, halved and thinly sliced, 1 lemon and 1 lime, each thinly sliced, one of each of your favorite varieties of red and green apple, each cored and thinly sliced, a cup of grapes (the variety of your preference), a cup of blueberries, and, quite frankly, any other colorful fruit that you feel will benefit this kehillah kedoshah (holy community). Pour in ¼ cup of brandy and a full bottle of dry red wine, like a Rioja or a Cabernet. Stir to combine and leave in a cold pit like Joseph or, more practically, a refrigerator so the flavors can meld and mingle in that liminal space. To serve, add ice and chilled lemon-lime soda to taste.
For an alcohol-free version, this is really just fruit punch, so skip the brandy and swap out the wine with a cup each of orange juice, lemonade, pineapple juice, and water.
May your cup of many colors runneth over.
